OLT Grit — Account & Data Deletion

Requesting Deletion

To request deletion of your account, you can:

• Use the Delete Account option in the Grit app under Settings > Account Management
• Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account

Requests are processed within a reasonable period of time.

Account Deletion

Account deletion removes your login credentials and account information. Comments made from the account remain visible. Votes are deleted.

Data Deletion

Data deletion removes your comments and feedback submissions (including any attached photos). It can be requested with or without account deletion.

• Without account deletion: email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account
• With account deletion: check the "Delete associated data" option in the app, or include "and associated data" in your email account deletion request

What Is Retained

Content contributed under the Contributor Terms, including but not limited to waypoint submissions and photos. Consistent with our mission, OpenLongTrails collects and freely distributes trail data to projects such as OpenStreetMap. These contributions are licensed to OpenLongTrails and are retained as part of this shared trail dataset regardless of account or data deletion.
